A delicious bowl of noodle makes your day. They called this 生肉面, (raw meat noodles) but this is similar to our pork noodles.
I think this is the most generous pork noodle I ever ate. It might look small, yet I can't even finish a bowl. Maybe because of the pork given are generous. The soup as well, richful in flavour, unlike those we have it in the hawker stall. To be frank, I really like the pork noodle served here. Despite the price being a little bit high, but I think it worth the price. I prefer the dry noodle instead of the hor fun. One plate of their famous baby octopus is definitely ain't enough. At least not for me :P When it comes to Ipoh, you definitely should not missed this restaurant. Despite it is pack of people, and lack of parking , the food is worth the wait. I'll say. Their Yu Gong Hor and Baby Octopus is their signature. I personally rarely took yu gong hor so for me is rather normal. But I like their octupus <3 It is so.... toink toink! I should say elastic? Hahaha The gravy of it actually is similar to the chicken rice gravy. Its a unique combination tho. I actually ordered their fried udon, which is not really their signature but I still prefer udon than yu gong hor hehehe. But definitely not their wat tan hor, it is not as good as the others. Open everyday from 5pm-3am. Reviews: Food: 9/10 Price: 7/10 Service: 4/10 Ambience: 4/10 (When it rains you have to shift and shift!) What's after lunch?
Desserts! I made my trip here to Funny Mountain Soya. I don't know why it is called Funny Mountain hahaha. It's my second attempt here. Was actually wanna try another stall's, but apparently we're a little late I guess? So we're back to Funny Mountain! It is a really small bowl of Soya Beancurd. Seriously small. But it is warm and small- just right if you're just craving for something to bite. My aunt said it was sweet, but I feel just right. Maybe I love sweet stuff. You can even drive through, eat in car, return their bowl and bye! Their opening hours is from 10.30am - 6pm, Be early! Closed on Tuesday. Hey Hey, here comes my food review for my trip to Kampar!
Ever wonder what's their speciality? Curry Chicken Bread! It isn't my favourite, but as a tourist like me of course you have to eat like local. I was brought to Restoran Jia by my aunty who currently lives in Kampar. So she recommended this place and I just follow! Basically, Curry Chicken Bread is where the chicken wrapped inside the bread, a very big bread. Quite a big portion, even smaller size are for 2-3 pax. To me personally, there's nothing special regarding the taste. Just normal curry chicken. Sorry for spoiler. Hahaha Curry gravy are also average, a little bit over rated if you read some blog recommendations. Other dishes served here are also quite common, so I personally thinks that I will not make my second trip here. Unless asked otherwise. And sorry for the not so nice pictures taken cause you know, dining with aunties is a little bit more troublesome! Another location for Bingsu , at Bing's located in One Utama Shopping Mall. Geeee I chose Mango and Pineapple flavor, and this is their 'best' recommendation as well. Hmmm, if you ask me about it I think I would prefer the one I mentioned in my previous post " Bingsu Cafe at Uptown Damansara " . In terms of price, it is a little bit more cheaper than Bingsu Cafe. At least I saw a RM 18 option. >< Maybe because the mango puree isn't enough to covered the ice, so it is a bit plain, I felt, Review: Price : 6/10 Food : 6/10 Service : 5/10 ( No staff actually take their initiative to clean the tables ) Ambience : 6/10 Parking : 5/10 ( If you're expecting more parking in One Utama, then definitely don't go during weekends ) Address: LotSK2E, 2nd floor, One Utama Shopping Mall. One of The Best Dak-Galbi In Town ! Hey Hey!
Back to Korean Food again today! So when it comes to Dak Galbi, which place comes into your mind? Well, I usually have two place in mind- Uncle Jang & Mr Dak Galbi. Both have theirs pros and cons, so today I'll share my experience in Uncle Jang's Dak Galbi. Well, I first tried them in Johor Bahru. Maybe the first is always the best. Here in Uncle Jang they provide more cabbages , which I liked it, But not all of you of course. But I think they are still improvement in their kimchi. No any other side dishes other than kimchi sadly. Now they appeared to have more varieties instead of serving Dak Galbi only. They had the sweet chicken wings which cost RM9,00 for six pieces, Not pricey yet it is really small. Haha maybe a chick. Didn't manage to take a picture cause the kids are fighting over it >< Note that on Tuesday they only open 6pm-11pm. As you can see, it is another instagramer location. Those who loves taking food images, this could be your favourite place. Cause it is not just about it good looks, but taste good too! I one of those kind who don't often visit cafes- well known to be good in appearance but not in taste. But Strangers at 47 amaze me quite a lot. Yet still, it will not be my favourite place although the food is good, especially their korean fried chicken. The portion given is also quite large, which me personally unable to finish them all cause halfway of your portion you might be a bit sick of it. Maybe because of the crepe and overload of meat. I am not a meat person tho. But to all cafe lovers, don't hold back based on my personal taste (which is weird cause most young people loves this kind of places). I highly recommend its Korean Fried Chicken. Another dishes I ordered is their Dory Fish. I don't really like it cause its thousand island sauce (or something similar to thousand island) is excessive (I hate thousand island). The fish portion is not as large as the chicken. You will like if you like Thousand Island I guess? Last but not least, It's close on every Tuesday! Reviews Food : 7/10 Price : 5/10 Service : 8/10 Ambience :7/10 Nice place, but quite pack during lunch hours. Parking :6/10 I am lucky for that one available space! The place for my lunch today! Yeah Guess What is their name. 'GUESS WHAT' Cute Name - although it is not relevant hahaha So Guess What they are selling? Vietnamese Cuisine! It is located at Kota Damansara, just beside Sushi Mentai. So we ordered Aussie Beef Pho, Handmade Beef Ball Pho and Summer Rolls. Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup consisting of broth and rice noodles. I came across its advertisement in FB, promoting by few Food Recommendations Pages in FB, and their "over-rated" reviews so yeah, I came and had a try. The taste of the Pho Noodles is good, but nothing special. You can find it in any Vietnamese Restaurant. But the portions of the meat they gave is quite generous. What's for lunch today ? Hmmmm I drop by Da Men USJ , wondering what to eat for lunch. We came across Go Noodle House so yeah let's have noodle today! I've been a few times to this restaurant but different branch which is located at Jaya One. I ordered the Spicy Noodle Vermicelli today. With the Pork Ball Version. Actually it is rather pricey, so I picked up the 2nd cheapest one I guess hahaha The soup were all the same , just the toppings were different. But their signature is their non-spicy version one. To me both just taste around the same except the spicy flavour -.- Despite those being their signature, my favourite in this restaurant is still their Dry Pan Mee (the non spicy version one) :P Reviews ( Da Men USJ & Jaya One Branch ) Price : 7/10 Food : 7/10 Ambience :6/10 ( Most of their branches are quite pack during lunch hour ) Service : 6/10 Parking : 7/10 Address : Damen USJ - Usj 1, 47600 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia Jaya One -Block D, The School, Jaya One, 61-P1, Jalan Universiti, Pjs 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia A Bowl That Cures The Hot Day!
Guess where I went for dessert today?? BingSu Cafe @ Uptown Damansara! BingSu is one of my favourite dessert- except for its price which is always pricey. A bowl of bingsu definitely cost the price of my 2 meals ( I mean common meals haha). So once in a long long time I may spend some for BingSu I guess? Bingsu is popular dessert in Korean comprising of ice shavings and various ingredients- like our Malaysia Cendol. Of course Cendol are far more cheaper hahaha. So it's my first time visiting BingSu Cafe. Was planning to visit Villa Ju bakery at Uptown as well, but......... the price shock me out! All their Bingsu basically starts from RM20 onwards so yeah. Bye. I went here instead. Actually, there isn't really a huge differences in price but if you're struggling for money like I do so yeah RM5 cheaper also saves a lot hahaha. I personally feel that I still prefer O:WL Espresso so far. The shaved ice served here is quite plain, maybe the toppings is a little to less to cover the whole ice, so some parts may be a little plain. I personally feel that I still prefer O:WL Espresso so far. Reviews: Price : 6/10 Food : 6/10 Service : 5/10 Cause basically they did no services except when you're ordering, and you need to place your own tray back on your own as well. Ambience : 7/10 Quiet and nice, and cold! Parking : 4/10 As usual, Uptown Damansara is always packed with cars. Address: Jalan SS 21/35, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia |
