Korean Food- My favourite! So this time I'll share my experience in Gangnam 88 Korean Restaurant. More to come in the future so always stay tuned! I went to Sunway Giza branch. I would pick Gangnam 88 when I don't feel like having barbecue. It will be quite a good choice if you would like to have some set meals or Korean Hot Pot. I tried quite a number of Casual Dining Korean restaurant , those that don't serve Korean BBQ, and I like Gangnam 88 cause they provide quite a lot (around 8 kinds) of side dishes. I loves Korean side dishes and it is one of the important criteria for a Korean Restaurant to me. This means when I choose some Korean Restaurant, I would pick the one which serves most side dishes hehe. However the price here is quite pricey, the downside here. Dine in with a gang of friends as the portion is quite large as well. Definitely not alone unless you're a big eater or you're rich enough >< Here are the food I'd tried: Pork Bulgogi- Could be better, I love the soup version but they served dry one here. Korean Rice Cake- Don't really like it, maybe I've tried a better one Fried Squid Hot Pot- Loves the soup, but maybe I'll order a non-fried one in the future? Cause it doesn't really match tho. Korean Soup- Ordinary Chicken BBQ- Their meat bbq here is good! Something I had to comment is their menu is a little bit too messy? What's the must order when it's comes to Dim Sim..? Saturday Breakfast today is ..... Dim Sum!
Went to Mahkota Cheras expecting to have HK boy cart noodle for breakfast but they're not open yet. So we drive around and end up with Fu Jing Dim Sum. Nothing Special in this restaurant I would say... And it is rather pricey. Or I should say most of the Dim Sum restaurant are pricey? Hahaha.. This meal cost RM 60.65 for 3 person, which I don't think it worth the price. Anyway, it's good to try if you do not have any idea what to eat for breakfast and it is something not so heavy. Guess most of you would be familiar if you're living in KL cause many of the Facebook Food Blogger had been adviertising about it. What attracts me is the appearance of the food - where it seems like the seafood is fully filled on the plate! I tried the no spicy one and B- spicy level (which is the least spicy of all) as my little cousin don't take spicy food. Both broth are equally delicious! I would go for a spicy version cause I personally like spicy food. But it to be honest B- is already quite spicy so if you're not a chilli person then I wouldn't suggest this. I remembered this cost RM148 ( with fish, squid, prawns and lala ). Vegetables are add on item. So I had gather a collection of Bangkok Must-Eat Street Food. Hold your saliva! >.< Lunch at Cabbages and Condoms Restaurant- A unique concept of dining where it is decorated with condoms! They serves Thai Cuisine here. Of course it is a little bit pricey compared to thai food you grab outside. Nothing special regarding their food, we came here just to visit a different kind of dining concept. We spent around 1000 + baht for the lunch- Pineapple Fried Rice, Green Curry Chicken, Tom Yam Soup and Pad Thai. It is located right opposite Terminal 21, you can take BTS to Terminal 21 and have a 5 min walk to this restaurant. A more comfort and classy shopping place- you might think you're in different countries! The Famous After You Dessert! It's now in Terminal 21 too! Sorry that I couldn't stop eating >< If you're a milk tea lover, You should get a Milk Tea Soft Serve at Cha Tra Mue! For Dinner, or I should say Tea Time, we went to ClayPot River Prawn Tom Yam Porridge near Train Market Srinakarin. I personally like it as I am a porridge lover as well. Be aware, it is really spicy. They basically have three types of porridge and you can choose your own toppings. Reviews: Food: 6/10 Price:6/10 Ambience:5/10 Service:6/10 Train Market Srinakarin
It is located quite far away from Pratunam, but the trip worth! It is a big market here that you can shop till you drop! From food to clothes- It won't disappoint you ladies! Today trip itinerary: Siam Park City Talad Neon Market Asiatique I actually planned to visit SabX2 Wanton Noodle for breakfast. It was raining in the morning and we walk quite a distance to reach there. But it turns out they are closed until 19th!! Hence we found a shade area with various food stall in Pratunam Market for breakfast. We later depart to Siam Park City. It was really a disappointment. The place is old and quite a few games to play with Not as good as advertised. I think I brought it for RM69 on 11street. Including a free buffet lunch. Later on, we went back to hotel and clean up. We proceed to Talad Neon, which is a night market near Pratunam. Opposite of Platinum Fashion Mall. If you think that's our dinner, then you're wrong! The actual dinner just about to start~ A lot of people asking about it, revealing the famous P'Aor Lobster Noodle!! It is located near Pratunam - near but not so near cause we walk a long way inside. This is the BEST TOM YAM I had in Bangkok. Not necessarily have to ordered Lobster Noodle, as their soup base are the same. What difference is their toppings. As this is my first time trying it, why not just give it a shot to try their signature? You can even choose two types of noodle in this bowl, I will definitely visit here again <3 Address: 68/51 Soi Petchburi 5 Petchaburi Road, Thung Phayathai, Ratchathewi Bangkok 10400, Thailand It's time for shopping I guess?
Rated as must- visit place in Bangkok - Asiatique! Shopping may not be as fun as in Pratunam, but it is a more comfortable place to shop if compared- at least it wasn't as pack and hot ! We rode the ferris wheel for 350 baht per person. Tiring yet satisfying. If you are reading my blog and wanna know how I manage my schedule in Bangkok- be aware, it's gonna be super tiring as I'm a shopping queen! And I definitely are into good food, everything worth a try! As I just went for a 4 days 3 night trips ( which is definitely not enough) hence I do had a really packed schedule. And, I am only interested in eat and shop- so you won't find any cultural places review here :P Here's my Day 1 Bangkok Itinerary: 4PM : Check In at Ramada D'ma Bangkok Hotel located at Pratunam. Pratunam is a definitely a shopping heaven- where Pratunam Market, Platinum Fashion Mall and lots more shopping area are located. I personally feel that I won't be staying in this hotel for the second time although the environment of the hotel are considered 'still ok'. Furnitures is a bit old, and located quite far away from Pratunam market if you're walking. 4.30PM : Chocolate Ville. Yes, the restaurant that doesn't sell chocolate at all. 1 hour away from the hotel. I would suggest you to visit if you didn't went before. But no point going there again as the food there was not as good. Worth for the beautiful environment (if you're keen in taking nice pictures). 350 baht taxi fares from Pratunam. Sadly it was raining when I were there :( Unable to take pictures in daytime. With Grandma this time <3 My loveliest woman
Thought of bringing her to some nice restaurant but we ended up here which is nearest to her place. The Name of the restaurant brings an illusion like a fancy western cafe but it ended up otherwise. It's a Hong Kong Style Restaurant that serves both Asian and Western food. My grandma ordered Pork Chop- which we all think it is too dry and hard. However my XO Fried Noodle was surprisingly better than I expected. Golden Crispy Pork Bun was average. The service is still acceptable except for the waiter and waitress there hardly understand our language Reviews: Food: 5/10 Ambience: 5/10 ( Nicely decorated, but too many flies!) So here's the place I celebrate my Mother's Day. Personally, I like the dining environment. And I had to say their Oven Baked Cod is GOOD. But otherwise for their Rib Eye Steak. Both cost RM 128.00 each. Pricey, and small portion. Yet a good place to be. Here's a place for you at Sunway Mentari!
Came here for lunch today. Personally feel that it is quiet oily for me - you have to come prepared as Sichuan Food are usually oily! The Sweet and Sour Noodle was quite a disappointment for me tho. However I liked the Beef appetiser ( forgot what's the name of the dish ) - be reminded it's a cold dish. Reviews: Food: 6/10 Ambience: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Price: 6/10 (Quite Pricey.
