Best Hainanese Beef Noodle in Town! Well, I love Hainanese Noodle. I usually had my Hainanese Noodle in a cafe in town but it seems that the cafe stopped operating anymore.
So I found one served Hainanese Noodle, which are located in Adda Height. A little bit further from town, but it definitely worth going!

Classic Homecook Thai Food! Good Pad Thai; Bad Mango Salad! Arrived Johor Bahru!
We went here for dinner which is nearby Century Garden. It's a housing area, renovated to a restaurant. Well, we came here as we saw some advertisement of it, so we came to try if it is as good as it rated. Among all dishes ordered, I like their Pad Thai the most. It taste just right, sweet yet irresistible. Maybe a little oily , but overall gave me a good impression of it. Their Tom Yam soup is good! Thick and Spicy, just the way I enjoy it. Maybe not so similar like what we had in Thailand but it just match Malaysian taste just right. As for the other dishes, I felt rather average and nothing stands out from other Thai Restaurant. Their Green Curry Chicken was rather bland. Nyonya Asam Laksa + Cendol ; Perfect Match! So each time when I came to Malacca I would come to Jonker 88 for its Nyonya Asam Laksa.
(Trying to look for the 10 years ago taste I guess >< ) First and Last visit. Somehow disappointing.
Well, I didn't expect a high expectation towards this restaurant at the very first place as it was it signboard isn't attractive and not obviously seen. We visited this restaurant as my cousin studying a school nearby and probably the only Korean Restaurant at the area. We ordered a BBQ Combo Set for RM157 which consist a Kimchi Hotpot, Bibimbap, Tobboki, 2 BBQ Meat and a stir fry squid. It isn't overpriced, yet can be considered cheap compared to other Korean Restaurant. However, the food isn't really delicious. The meat and soup is bland, rice cake is average. Somehow they might be using a lower quality noodle, which isn't really nice. In conclusion, I don't recommend here. Reviews Price : 6/10 Food :3/10 Ambience :6/10 Service :6/10 Parking :4/10 Address : No. 2-1, Jalan Damai Perdana 1/9c, Bandar Damai Perdana, Wilayah Persekutuan, 56000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Love their Seafood Soup! Italiane cuisine today! Maybe we shall pamper ourselves with fine dining once a while isn't? So I came here, D'Italiane at Jaya 33 with my family. All dishes ordered are recommended by the staff there. Except for the drinks haha. I initially wanted to order Strawberry Banana but their Banana is out of stock :( So I picked Strawberry Madness Smoothie. It's too sweet, to be honest. Their mushroom soup is good, thick and nice. Pepperoni Pizza! I personally love thin crust pizza, so their pizza suits my taste. But still, it taste average like you can have it in anywhere else.
I love the Seafood Soup. Thick in gravy, full with seafood. It is not really spicy, somehow a bit similar like tomato soup. Famous for their Galmaegisal. Have you tried it? Galmaegisal means 'Pork Skirt Meat' - it is said that it is low calories and high in protein. Perfect for us who are always in diet isn't? It's their signature meat as well so of course we ordered their Shinmapo Signature set, 2-4 pax for RM 118. It served with the military stew, consisting of mushrooms, ham and sausages.
Sinful Meal- Yet Unresistable Korean BBQ Buffet Finally done with my exam and so we decided to reward ourselves with nice food! Well, we found Hwa Ga Korean BBQ restaurant in Sunway Mentari so we decided to settle down here. There are a la carte and buffet options, and after we do some calculations ( to see which one worth ><) and we chosen their buffet! Hahaha To be honest it wasn't the best Korean BBQ nor the cheapest Korean BBQ buffet. It cost us around RM45 per pax for lunch including taxes. The dining environment was good, and the lady boss is friendly. Just a bit tough to communicate with their staff cause all are foreigners and they don't understand English well. Not much choices of food and side dishes either, which I mentioned in my previous post that side dishes are the most important criteria for a good Korean Restaurant!! Food are average, I like their Japchae among all, it is juicy and sweet in taste. I wouldn't mind having another bowl but I couldn't fit in anymore T.T Soups are somehow a bit bland, and others are average. SS14, right opposite SS15 where a lot of gourmets happening there. Right now there's 2 budget sushi restaurant in SS15 and one here- Zen S.
In terms of price, it is rather reasonable, starting RM1.80 per plate to RM 3.80 per plate. When it comes to budget sushi, Sushi Mentai will still be my option. But if I happened to be SS15 and having a sushi place, I would pick Zen S out of Sushi Flash and another newly opened Sushi Go. The food here is considered average, but some of their sushi is served right after they took out from fridge. Their tamago is frozen, the sushi rice are cold. Well, they definitely leave me a 'not so good' experience. I first visit Geylang Lor 9 in Johor Bahru branch when I was young.
To be honest, I still prefer Johor Bahru branch (beside KSL City Mall) compared to the one in SS2, Petaling Jaya. Everytime I wanted to have frog porridge, Geylang Lor 9 is the only one in my mind! Till now, this is still the best claypot Kong Pou Frog Porridge. I usually ordered A pot of frog , with plain porridge, cause the gravy is good enough with the porridge. Of course over the time the price had increased compared to 10 years ago. Many of my friends don't eat this sadly. For anyone who does, here is definitely a choice of yours! Reviews (For SS2 Petaling Jaya branch) Price : 6/10 Food : 8/10 Ambience : 7/10 Service : 7/10 Parking : 5/10 Address : 10, Jalan SS 2/61, SS 2, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia My trip to the newly opened Movie Animations Park Studios (MAPS). Is it really bad as rumoured? Find out. Day 1 Our first stop is at Kampar to visit our relatives. We had their famous Curry Chicken Bread which every travellers to Kampar must try! Well, how does it taste? Read my reviews of this Restoran Jia! After we took a break and checked in to Hotel Excelsior, we went for Soya Beancurd! Initially I wanted to try out another place as I tried Funny Mountain Soya before, but it seems like we are late :( So we went to Funny Mountain Soya Beancurd, click HERE for its review! Moving on we went for our shopping! Of course we had to buy some local snacks back. We went to Sin Eng Heong pastry shop, right opposite Tuck Kee Restaurant! Right after, we saw a lot of people queuing in front of Tuck Kee, so we quickly secure a place there.
While waiting for our food to arrive, I went to buy curry fishball at a small kopitiam opposite Tuck Kee. |
