Unresistable dry Bak Kut Teh! Even you aren’t meat lover~ Living in Subang and wanna have nice Bak Kut Teh?
Here’s one in SS14! There’s actually quite a number of Bak Kut Teh stall here, but if you’re going for dry Bak Kut Teh , here at Chuan Chiew Bak Kut Teh is my pick. Its dry Bak Kut Teh is thick in gravy, and you won’t get sick at those meat ( which I will usually after a few pieces ). I ain’t really a meat lover ( unless it is Korean bbq hahah ) but this dry Bak Kut Teh I can actually have quite a lot. And my favourite is it’s ladyfingers inside! Hahahah! Good combination with rice!

Ultimately Delicious Braised Duck Noodle! I loveeee Braised Duck Noodle or rather similar to 粿条仔 (Kuey Tiaw Gia) in Johor Bahru. You can't find such delicious dish in KL.
Taika Huat is one of my favourite among many of these restaurant. For 10 years, still here when it comes to frog porridge. I first visit Geylang Lor 9 in Johor Bahru branch when I was young.
To be honest, I still prefer Johor Bahru branch (beside KSL City Mall) compared to the one in SS2, Petaling Jaya. Everytime I wanted to have frog porridge, Geylang Lor 9 is the only one in my mind! Till now, this is still the best claypot Kong Pou Frog Porridge. I usually ordered A pot of frog , with plain porridge, cause the gravy is good enough with the porridge. Of course over the time the price had increased compared to 10 years ago. Many of my friends don't eat this sadly. For anyone who does, here is definitely a choice of yours! Is it really bad as rumoured? Find out. Day 1 Our first stop is at Kampar to visit our relatives. We had their famous Curry Chicken Bread which every travellers to Kampar must try! Well, how does it taste? Read my reviews of this Restoran Jia! After we took a break and checked in to Hotel Excelsior, we went for Soya Beancurd! Initially I wanted to try out another place as I tried Funny Mountain Soya before, but it seems like we are late :( So we went to Funny Mountain Soya Beancurd, click HERE for its review! Moving on we went for our shopping! Of course we had to buy some local snacks back. We went to Sin Eng Heong pastry shop, right opposite Tuck Kee Restaurant! Right after, we saw a lot of people queuing in front of Tuck Kee, so we quickly secure a place there.
While waiting for our food to arrive, I went to buy curry fishball at a small kopitiam opposite Tuck Kee. A delicious bowl of noodle makes your day. They called this 生肉面, (raw meat noodles) but this is similar to our pork noodles.
I think this is the most generous pork noodle I ever ate. It might look small, yet I can't even finish a bowl. Maybe because of the pork given are generous. The soup as well, richful in flavour, unlike those we have it in the hawker stall. To be frank, I really like the pork noodle served here. Despite the price being a little bit high, but I think it worth the price. I prefer the dry noodle instead of the hor fun. At least not for me :P When it comes to Ipoh, you definitely should not missed this restaurant. Despite it is pack of people, and lack of parking , the food is worth the wait. I'll say. Their Yu Gong Hor and Baby Octopus is their signature. I personally rarely took yu gong hor so for me is rather normal. But I like their octupus <3 It is so.... toink toink! I should say elastic? Hahaha The gravy of it actually is similar to the chicken rice gravy. Its a unique combination tho. I actually ordered their fried udon, which is not really their signature but I still prefer udon than yu gong hor hehehe. But definitely not their wat tan hor, it is not as good as the others. Open everyday from 5pm-3am. Reviews: Food: 9/10 Price: 7/10 Service: 4/10 Ambience: 4/10 (When it rains you have to shift and shift!) What's after lunch?
Desserts! I made my trip here to Funny Mountain Soya. I don't know why it is called Funny Mountain hahaha. It's my second attempt here. Was actually wanna try another stall's, but apparently we're a little late I guess? So we're back to Funny Mountain! It is a really small bowl of Soya Beancurd. Seriously small. But it is warm and small- just right if you're just craving for something to bite. My aunt said it was sweet, but I feel just right. Maybe I love sweet stuff. You can even drive through, eat in car, return their bowl and bye! Their opening hours is from 10.30am - 6pm, Be early! Closed on Tuesday. Hey Hey, here comes my food review for my trip to Kampar!
Ever wonder what's their speciality? Curry Chicken Bread! It isn't my favourite, but as a tourist like me of course you have to eat like local. I was brought to Restoran Jia by my aunty who currently lives in Kampar. So she recommended this place and I just follow! Basically, Curry Chicken Bread is where the chicken wrapped inside the bread, a very big bread. Quite a big portion, even smaller size are for 2-3 pax. To me personally, there's nothing special regarding the taste. Just normal curry chicken. Sorry for spoiler. Hahaha Curry gravy are also average, a little bit over rated if you read some blog recommendations. Other dishes served here are also quite common, so I personally thinks that I will not make my second trip here. Unless asked otherwise. And sorry for the not so nice pictures taken cause you know, dining with aunties is a little bit more troublesome! Reviews: Food: 6/10 Ambience: 6/10 Service:5/10 Parking:5/10 Address: 9 & 11, Jalan Masjid, 31900, Kampar, Perak, 31900, Malaysia TGIF! What's for lunch today ? Hmmmm I drop by Da Men USJ , wondering what to eat for lunch. We came across Go Noodle House so yeah let's have noodle today! I've been a few times to this restaurant but different branch which is located at Jaya One. I ordered the Spicy Noodle Vermicelli today. With the Pork Ball Version. Actually it is rather pricey, so I picked up the 2nd cheapest one I guess hahaha The soup were all the same , just the toppings were different. But their signature is their non-spicy version one. To me both just taste around the same except the spicy flavour -.- Despite those being their signature, my favourite in this restaurant is still their Dry Pan Mee (the non spicy version one) :P Reviews ( Da Men USJ & Jaya One Branch ) Price : 7/10 Food : 7/10 Ambience :6/10 ( Most of their branches are quite pack during lunch hour ) Service : 6/10 Parking : 7/10 Address : Damen USJ - Usj 1, 47600 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia Jaya One -Block D, The School, Jaya One, 61-P1, Jalan Universiti, Pjs 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia What's the must order when it's comes to Dim Sim..? Saturday Breakfast today is ..... Dim Sum!
Went to Mahkota Cheras expecting to have HK boy cart noodle for breakfast but they're not open yet. So we drive around and end up with Fu Jing Dim Sum. Nothing Special in this restaurant I would say... And it is rather pricey. Or I should say most of the Dim Sum restaurant are pricey? Hahaha.. This meal cost RM 60.65 for 3 person, which I don't think it worth the price. Anyway, it's good to try if you do not have any idea what to eat for breakfast and it is something not so heavy.
