A day at Siam, Bangkok. Visit the newly opened LINE Friends! 2.1.2018 Day 2 I decided to start by exploring Siam area today. It is quite near to Pratunam, for about 2 stations ahead from BTS Ratchathewi. You can also walk there for about 20 mins walk, well I do walk back from Siam! Brunch is important peeps! Before we started anything and everything, we have to fill our stomach first Yay! I went to Som Tam Nua restaurant right opposite Siam Center. I'd seen a lot good reviews and this restaurant has been rated as a 'must visit restaurant' in Bangkok, so here I am to try how good it was. Unexpectedly the environment was cozy and nice! I am lucky as I went there early, as it became quite pack when it comes to lunch hour. This are the 3 signature dishes that I tried:
WARNING Their Som Tam is seriously spicy. One bite from it and it will burns your tongue ! As a spicy food lover, I can't even stand its spiciness so yeah do think about it before coming to try this in this restaurant. I personally think this restaurant is over rated, it doesn't suits my flavour as their dishes are considered average. And their Som Tam is definitely a NO-NO for me. No harm giving it a try if its your first time, but don't carry high expectations here. Next station is just next to this restaurant- Stylenanda Pink Hotel. You don't need to go all the way to Korea to visit this cosmetic store Yay Have a walk in the malls in Siam! Siam Paragon is a higher class mall compared to Siam Center, if you're looking for a better quality items you can take a walk there! Take some pictures with LINE FRIENDS located in Siam Square! Time for a tea break after a long walk~ We pass by this Bake A Wish cafe located in Siam Center, decided to went it attracted by its beautiful design. I personally felt that the Caramel Milkshake is quite sweet and 'milky' for me. Quite a number of food options here but we're so full to have a main dish. Next we walk all the way to the Erawan Shrine (Four Face Buddha) located outside Central World which is about 20 mins walk from Siam. You can see a lot of food streets already up outside shopping malls Sorry for the blurry image as it is a dark night.
We actually wanted to have P'Aor Lobster Noodle but unfortunately it was closed due to new year :( Really missed that! So we had this Beef Noodle available across the street on our way back. It taste somehow like the chicken noodle I had in Day 1, just the toppings is different.
