My trip to the newly opened Movie Animations Park Studios (MAPS). Is it really bad as rumoured? Find out. Day 1 Our first stop is at Kampar to visit our relatives. We had their famous Curry Chicken Bread which every travellers to Kampar must try! Well, how does it taste? Read my reviews of this Restoran Jia! After we took a break and checked in to Hotel Excelsior, we went for Soya Beancurd! Initially I wanted to try out another place as I tried Funny Mountain Soya before, but it seems like we are late :( So we went to Funny Mountain Soya Beancurd, click HERE for its review! Moving on we went for our shopping! Of course we had to buy some local snacks back. We went to Sin Eng Heong pastry shop, right opposite Tuck Kee Restaurant! Right after, we saw a lot of people queuing in front of Tuck Kee, so we quickly secure a place there.
While waiting for our food to arrive, I went to buy curry fishball at a small kopitiam opposite Tuck Kee.

One plate of their famous baby octopus is definitely ain't enough. At least not for me :P When it comes to Ipoh, you definitely should not missed this restaurant. Despite it is pack of people, and lack of parking , the food is worth the wait. I'll say. Their Yu Gong Hor and Baby Octopus is their signature. I personally rarely took yu gong hor so for me is rather normal. But I like their octupus <3 It is so.... toink toink! I should say elastic? Hahaha The gravy of it actually is similar to the chicken rice gravy. Its a unique combination tho. I actually ordered their fried udon, which is not really their signature but I still prefer udon than yu gong hor hehehe. But definitely not their wat tan hor, it is not as good as the others. Desserts! I made my trip here to Funny Mountain Soya. I don't know why it is called Funny Mountain hahaha. It's my second attempt here. Was actually wanna try another stall's, but apparently we're a little late I guess? So we're back to Funny Mountain! It is a really small bowl of Soya Beancurd. Seriously small. But it is warm and small- just right if you're just craving for something to bite. My aunt said it was sweet, but I feel just right. Maybe I love sweet stuff. You can even drive through, eat in car, return their bowl and bye! Their opening hours is from 10.30am - 6pm, Be early! Closed on Tuesday. Hey Hey, here comes my food review for my trip to Kampar!
Ever wonder what's their speciality? Curry Chicken Bread! It isn't my favourite, but as a tourist like me of course you have to eat like local. I was brought to Restoran Jia by my aunty who currently lives in Kampar. So she recommended this place and I just follow! Basically, Curry Chicken Bread is where the chicken wrapped inside the bread, a very big bread. Quite a big portion, even smaller size are for 2-3 pax. To me personally, there's nothing special regarding the taste. Just normal curry chicken. Sorry for spoiler. Hahaha Curry gravy are also average, a little bit over rated if you read some blog recommendations. Other dishes served here are also quite common, so I personally thinks that I will not make my second trip here. Unless asked otherwise. And sorry for the not so nice pictures taken cause you know, dining with aunties is a little bit more troublesome!
